Hi Everyone!

Hope you've all had a good weekend and are looking forward to the Bank Holiday! Lets hope the weather gets a bit better and if you're jetting off on holiday abroad make sure you keep track of the travel updates as Volcanic Ash is making its way to the airways of the UK (again)!


Well after a few blog posts now we're finally starting to get the hang of this blogging! So much so that we've added a live Twitter feed to this webpage which can be found on the left of the screen. If you have twitter don't hesitate to follow us @greenachiever

Green Achiever will be attending Sustainability Live 2011 tomorrow (24th May 2011) at the LG Arena, Birmingham. 

We will be holding a stall within the arena and answering any queries or questions regarding the scheme. Look out for us, we have a very unique stall item which has received a lot of attention in the office!
Come along if you are around and we would be delighted to have a chat with you!

In other news - Kelly, one of the Green Achiever team members ran Race for Life in Shrewsbury on Sunday 22nd May and raised over £100 for Cancer Research UK. Congrats!

The UK's First GREEN Film Festival

 The festival in Leeds will take place from Friday to Sunday in the Hyde Park Picture House.

 Leeds will be one of the five major cities hosting the first UK Green Film Festival which will be showing a selection of films, documentaries and shorts that highlight climate change and other environmental issues.

 The programme includes both UK and world film premieres and the organisers said their aim is not to preach, but to challenge, inspire, educate, learn and entertain.

 The festival will screen a number of powerful environment sci-fi films and classics, that raise issues such as pollution, poverty and the effects of nuclear waste.

Hi there and welcome to our new Green Achiever Blog page

Our aim is to help companies become that little bit greener, and we also provide waste and renewable expertise too!

Based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, we are a small team with over 800 companies signed up as Green Achiever's worldwide.

We aim to provide you all with an in-depth insight into our company via the use of this blog - reporting on various environmental news and events from around the world, as well as what members of the team are up to throughout the company.

With summer just around the corner, Green Achiever will be out and about at different county shows, providing you with information and advice on how to go green.

This month we are having big celebrations for three of our members who have achieved the Gold Standard Green Achiever Award and for a further two who have achieved the Silver Standard. Many congratulations to all of these companies for their efforts and achievements in their environmental practices.
